The news was jointly announced last Thursday by Binance and Recording Academy. Grammy week brought various Web3 technology and experiences to the events and projects. The award show was held on April 3rd at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.

Co-President of Recording Academy Panos Panay said that the motivation behind the agreement was to develop new monetization avenues for the academy. Moreover, it is bound to revitalize the music experience for fans.

As the leading player in the crypto and blockchain space and with its community-focused approach, Binance is the perfect partner for the GRAMMYs and for our mission to empower music people around the world.

Binance’s co-founder Yi He also viewed the partnership as a means to meet the changing demands of much creation community. The fans will get experience based on blockchain and “all the great things Web3 technology can bring to entertainment.”

Recording Academy has been dipping its toes in the crypto industry in the past as well. One of the major moves in this regard was a partnership with the non-fungible tokens (NFT) marketplace, OneOf, back in November 2021.
